Inertial Aerosystems have introduced a new range of rugged, weather-proof, highly accurate Digital Tiltmeters. Designated the Tuff digital range of uniaxial and biaxial tiltmeters they are manufactured by U.S. based Applied Geomechanics.
The advent of drier weather conditions being experienced in many parts of the world in the past decade have resulted in increasing instances of potentially dangerous subsidence / movement of buildings, bridges and industrial structures.
The innovative Tuff-Tilt range is designed to detect any minute subsidence to a resolution of 1 arc second (.0001ยบ).
Designed to be clamped to buildings, bridges or industrial structures, the sensor supplies data via a RS232 interface. With multiple sensors and an Ethernet/wireless link remote monitoring is possible.
The range primarily consists of two models in single or dual axis configuration; one the standard Tuff tilt digital with an angular range of + or - 3 degrees and a resolution of 0.0001 degree and the wide angle model of + or - 50 degrees with a resolution of 0.002 degrees.
Measuring 120 x 80 x 60mm and weighing 0.6Kg it is easily transportable and easily fitted, with 3M cable and RS232 connector provided. Powered from DC voltage.
This versatile range has applications primarily in the Building, Manufacturing, Engineering and Processing Industries.
