Inertial Areosystems announce the availability
of a new, portable, intelligent dead reckoning module, which provides reliable position and direction data for personnel on foot. Designated the "GyroDRM" .it is ideal for navigating in areas where GPS is inaccurate or unavailable. An on-board silicon gyro provides significantly reduced effects of magnetic disturbances on position accuracy. This innovative product comes as an integrated unit complete with 12 channel GPS receiver, data recording memory, barometric altimeter, electronic pedometer and event marker. Designed to self calibrate when GPS becomes available, it weighs approximately 340 grms and measures 111.76mm x 81.28 x 38.1.
Applications include military, police, firemen, utility workers, ambulance persons, public safety and electronic tagging of offenders.
