Inertial Aerosystems have introduced a new range of solid state synchro control transformer
modules.
This quality range is designed primarily to replace traditional electro-mechanical control
transformers and thus provide digital control to existing analog systems.
These units measure only 66.04mm x 78.74 x 20.83mm with standard accuracies of +or-6,
+or-15, and +or-30 minutes of arc.
These products can simultaneously accept analogue synchro or resolver inputs of 11.8V or 90V,
400 Hz or 90V, 60Hz and 14, 12 or 10 bit binary digital data and provide an output voltage
which is the sine of the difference between these two input angles. Output angle is + or - 7
or+ or -12 degrees @.4 Volts rms/degree or 1 Volt rms/degree.
The converters have transformer isolated reference and synchro inputs, and no adjustments
are required. Bi- directional input data is accepted and outputs are short circuit protected.
They have many applications in the Process , Engineering, Electrical, Electronic,
Manufacturing & Defence Industries . A typical application is in a conventional follow-up servo as
an error signal generator.
When designing single speed position servos, new positions can be digitally programmed via a
computer bus.
