Inertial Aerosystems announce the “IRIS” multichannel tilt switch which can be used to control up to 8 external devices. A precise biaxial inclinometer provides full-scale angles of 25 degrees or 50 degrees, with a resolution of .01 degree. The individual threshold angles are user programmeable, using a PC, and outputs are TTL levels. The status of each of
the 8 outputs can be monitored via RS232 or RS485. The unit operates from 7-28V DC with temperature range from-40C to +85C.
Typical applications involve control of cranes, lifting equipment, fluid vessel tip angles, camera platforms, pipe laying machinery and structural stability of construction sites.
