Inertial Aerosystems have introduced a new, low profile, single axis surface mounted sensor for low field magnetic sensing. The HMC1041Z is designed for applications where space and power consumption is at a premium, e.g. cell phones, hand held GPS, wrist watches etc. When used with a 2-axes sensor, a cost and space effective 3-axis magnetometer or compass solution is obtained.
The sensor is available in tape and reel packaging, for high volume SPT assembly.
