ETL Inertial Aerosystems announce a range of Navigation Grade Ring Laser Gyroscopes, intended for use in situations where GPS satellite reception is intermittent, unsatisfactory or unavailable.
These precision products can be used as components for a full Inertial Navigation Systems such as a Gyro compass, Attitude and Heading Reference System or Inertial Measurement Unit. A single unit can be used as an accurate heading reference.
Three models are available with in run bias stabilities of .003°/hour, .01°/hour and .04°/hour. The gyros weigh 450 grams and measure 88mm diameter. They are ruggedly built with an MTBF >80,000 hours. Applications in Oceanography, UUV’s, Land Vehicles, Defence and Aerospace.
